This also is a business where office and art supplies are sold, located on a strip center inside Mall Plaza Norte. Its location on a corner gives the store an extensive façade area and great exposure to the interior streets, parking lots and principal access to DUOC University.
The façade has glass sectors that simultaneously function as a showcase and an opaque area, intentionally designed as a bicolor mosaic. To achieve this design a photograph of a woman’s face was manipulated first by contrasting and then utilizing pixelization effects. Finally, each pixel was transformed into a single white or red mosaic module. The end result was a wall which seems to have an arbitrary design at first glance or in close proximity, but in the distance the human face becomes strikingly apparent.
The same color pattern was applied to the interior of the façade using red on the surface of the tables and the illumination system in the ceiling.
Given the size of the business it was decided that the entire clientele will be attended to at the service counter, exclusively.
