This housing unit is located in one of the top floors of a building typical of the residential neighborhood of El Golf.
In a previous renovation of the original apartment the terrace was closed off and converted into a dining room, giving it a nautical feel by replacing some of the traditional doors with water tight boat ones, and covering a large portion of wall with steel plates.
In the second modification, the first level terrace was remodeled using a four leaf sliding door, artfully hidden behind a wall to prevent the space from being completely open. The terrace was revitalized by providing lighting via a trellis type covering, which, in the future, will be ornately overrun with vines springing from a new flower pot to be put in place.
As for the kitchen, one of its sides was incorporated into the construction of a multi-functional granite table consisting of both the cooking and dining areas.
The walls were converted to white and neutral tones, and the veneer finished floor was eliminated to reveal luminously polished concrete.
On the second level a number of fixed furniture was also removed to achieve greater neutrality in the bedroom and living room. The one and only bathroom was also restored to regain its unique look once its facilities were normalized.
